First Offender Drinking Driver Program

For first-time offenders of the Driving Under the Influence (DUI) law, a 32 or 45 hour program is available to meet the court's requirement for education.

Students learn about alcohol and other drugs, alcoholism and other addiction diseases, the laws related to drinking and driving, and how to avoid a second offense. All services are available in English and Spanish.

The goals of the First Offender Drinking Driver Program are:

  • To reduce the individual's chances of being arrested again for a DUI offense.
  • To intervene earlier in the progressive development of alcoholism and/or other drug addiction, thus preventing alcohol and/or other drug-related problems in the future.
